Materials

Y-TECH housings
Housings of series SYK 5 are injection moulded from a glass fibre reinforced polyamide 6 material. The steel reinforcement provides stability of form and the housings are thermally stable. The holes for the attachment bolts are reinforced by zinc plated sheet steel inserts. The housings are coloured black.

Housings of series SYKC 5 are similar to those of series SYK except that the inserts are made of stainless steel and they are coloured white.

Cast iron housings
Housings of series SY(J) 5 and SYF(J) 5 are made of grey cast iron EN-GJL HB195 in accordance with EN 1561:1997.

Pressed steel housings
These housings (series P) are produced from cold rolled sheet steel and are protected against corrosion by a yellow chromate surface treatment.
